June 29, 2001: KWE @ The California Institute for Abnormal Arts, North Hollywood, CA. A very strange carnivalesque environment with carved wood figurines, elaborate stage, mirror ball, and continuous "outer limits" background soundtrack coming from another room. That performance was the testing ground for the Modal Universe album that was recorded a few days later by Dave Greenberg at Boomtown. The view at left is from the drumming and feedback conclusion of the song Modal Universe.
